Fischer Precise Receives Ringier Tech Award

USA, 27th May 2009 - Beginning in 2005, the Ringier Technology Awards have recognized individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions via technology innovations in the Asian market. Fischer Precise was announced as an award winner in the metalworking industry for its line of high speed, high precision MFW electric motor-driven spindles.

An independent jury of professionals in the industry made its selections based on technology that is at the forefront in metalworking processes, is economically beneficial, and is shown to have widely applied and accepted results.

The innovation in the MFW series of spindles is tied to the benefits of its liquid shaft cooling. Most electric spindles use recirculating coolant only through its housing to remove heat generated from the spindle motor and bearings to keep the spindle thermally stable. But with the MFW series of spindles coolant is also recirculating through the spinning quillshaft holding the cutting tool, providing a much higher degree of thermal stability and therefore much greater ability to hold tight tolerances on part finishes.
